I didn't expect this at all when I saw the screenshots, but I think this game is a treat if you spoil it as little as possible. Had a great time playing it live!

I did, are the plant spawn rates randomized? I only encountered 4 dandelions and the other plants didn't give me food. I also made it to a rabbit town and wasn't able to sell my pearl to buy more food. I could only afford 1 thing. I played for about 30 mins

Very interesting game with a relaxing, meditative atmosphere. Am I correct in assuming that there are two proper endings to this game?
Yes.
I traveled left and basically starved to death :v maybe I'm missing something but I feel like no matter what I did I was doomed to fail
Pick up plants and eat them from your inventory, in key items you have a waterskin, give water and food to both, the horse and the ant.
